What are Limiting Beliefs and Why You Should Care
Limiting beliefs can translate and transform from your life into your business.
We often think that our personal lives and our business are so separated, but really they're completely intertwined.
Everything that happens in your personal life can have a deep impact on your business in a positive and/or negative way, depending on whatever it is that you know you're thinking about working through.
Limiting beliefs can be about anything.
So, when we think about limiting beliefs a lot of these are just stories that we're telling ourselves.
Stories that prevent us from being what we want to be, or showing up in a way that we want…
Or stepping into our power in a more meaningful and impactful way that we haven't yet before stepped into.
These beliefs come up because they are in such contrast with what we know to be true and they start being a feeling that we keep butting up against.
When we're working through limiting beliefs, it's an opportunity to look inward and also look really far back.
These beliefs are simply thoughts that we keep telling ourselves that we keep repeating.
That's why they feel so strong because we've been telling them to ourselves for so long, but it doesn't mean that they can't change
It doesn't mean that this belief that you formed when you were six years old or 16 years old or 26 years old can't be rewritten.
What's key in rewriting these limiting beliefs and these blocks and these stories that just feel so heavy is really understanding where they came from… and a lot of times it's understanding that they didn't originate from you.
They likely originated from someone else who was projecting their own belief system and their own feelings and their own emotions onto you in such a strong manner that you have energetically taken that on and then made it a part of your story.
One of the most powerful things that we can do around limiting beliefs is to rewrite them and decide to tell a new story.
To be able to take back that power that we really just let go and we allowed someone else to control and imprint their own power onto us.
